Gavin Boyles has been the Deputy Treasurer of the State of Vermont since January 2023, when he was appointed by Treasurer Mike Pieciak. Prior to serving as Deputy, Gavin was the General Counsel at Vermont's Department of Financial Regulation for six years under then-Commissioner Pieciak. He has also worked as an assistant attorney general, an attorney in private practice, and a law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court. He lives in Montpelier, Vermont with his wife, a home daycare provider. They have two children, ages 20 and 16. In his spare time, Gavin enjoys canoeing and woodworking.
